We are ready to present you the extension, which can solve the above requirement. The Backorder extension from MagePlace allows you to display custom stock status for products that are currently on backorder or unavailable for some reasons.

It should be noted that Magento has a standard function to allow buying some products that are currently on backorder. Once you offer such an option to your customers, solution will be useful for you to present information in a more convenient format. The Backorder extension will show special signs and notes for grouped, configurable and bundle products that are available for backorder on your Magento webshop.

Another very handy feature – you can provide your customers with clear understanding when to expect the product delivery. Our extension has additional attributes such as Backorder Note and Backorder Thru Date. These features help to provide your potential customers with more detailed information about when the goods or services are available. For example, it can be precise information about products’ delivery date, etc., and it will be displayed right on the product page in light-boxes.

It's obvious that it's easier to keep an existing client happy than to find a new client. If you don't have product in stock at the moment you still can enable customers to order it. The Magento Backorder extension is applicable to all product types. The extension will show custom stock status for grouped, configurable and bundle products. Our solution works in product lists, category pages or product search results. Your clients will be aware of what is currently available for backorder. The Backorder extension replaces the "Add to Cart" button and the "Stock Availability Status" label on all Backorder products. Once a customer clicks on the product, he can see its stock availability status. This information is displayed on every product page.

It's possible to configure the "Add to Cart" button and "Availability status" label at a simple product backorder page. The button & the Status label will be immediately changed once your customers modify some product attributes - this works only for configurable and bundle product type. The inscriptions and posts can be configured in Admin Panel.

• The features of grouped products
  You can add a light-box that appears in a table of backorder item on a grouped product page.
• The features of configurable products
  The Add to Cart button & Availability status button label will be immediately changed on a product detail page, in case a customer changes the value of configurable product.
• The features of bundle products
  Once you click backorder item that is enabled in the bundle product, the availability status label will be changed at once. You will see backorder note or backorder through date light-box you can configure in Admin Panel.

All the settings of the MP Backorder extension can be found on Magento administration panel: Settings -> Configuration -> Backorder

Note! The extension will only work if your web store allows backorders. To allow backorders go to: Menu Settings -> Configuration -> Backorder -> Content Options. There insert “Yes” in all fields.

The Backorder Extension supports supports Magento Community editions 1.4.X, 1.5.X, 1.6.X, 1.7.X; Magento Enterprise editions 1.9.X, 1.10.X, 1.11.X, 1.12.X.
